Dave Pawson

I’m married, with two awesome kids from my previous marriage. I worked in tech for 30+ years; I’m now retired for the third time, so we’ll see if it takes. I grew up in NJ, went to college in Rhode Island, lived in the Bay Area, CA for 30 years, then Vegas for about 4 years. I moved to Chapel Hill in early 2025. I’ve always had some hobby I dedicated way too much attention to. For years that was juggling; at one point I was the chairman of the board of the International Jugglers’ Association. When I was stuck indoors with low ceilings due to COVID, my attention drifted to magic, and that’s how I found you good people.

Good timing. As of this past weekend, it would be seeing Dani DaOrtiz live. Just absolute mayhem and nonstop joy.

The friendliness and openness from the first time I walked through the door. Don’t take that for granted.

I suspect you all know more about magic than me, and more about the Raleigh Magic Club than me. While I work on those, I suspect and hope I have life experience that will allow me to help the Club grow stronger.
